Accessibility Statement
All Legal & Privacy InformationWe want the Maths & Physics Society website to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA when designing and maintaining the site.
Last Reviewed:
What the Site Provides
- A Skip to Content link, labelled navigation and semantic headings.
- Visible keyboard focus, labelled controls and text alongside game feedback colours.
- Responsive layouts, readable policy text and a question-only print view.
- Mathematical content rendered as HTML with MathML through KaTeX, where supported by the browser and assistive technology.
- A maths-input keyboard and ordinary keyboard input for mathematical activities.
These features support access, but their presence is not a claim of complete conformance.
Current Accessibility Status
The site has not had a complete independent accessibility audit. Further testing is needed with screen readers, mathematical input, mobile devices and different browsers, especially for mathematical notation and the on-screen keyboard.
No WCAG certification or complete conformance claim is made. We welcome accessibility reports at the contact below and will review the site as its features change.
Using the Site
You can use the browser's zoom controls and navigate links and buttons with the keyboard. The Skip to Content link appears when focused. Policy pages can be read without signing in. On smaller screens, the storage table has a separately scrollable area.
For a printable question, use its Print Question option or the weekly question sheet. This removes answer controls, hints and solutions from the printed question.
Report a Difficulty or Request Another Format
Please describe the page, what you were trying to do and what happened. If relevant, include your browser or assistive technology and say whether the problem concerns navigation, keyboard focus, mathematical notation or a different format you need. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis.
For an accessibility issue or a request for an alternative format, email [email protected].
Ongoing Review
The review date records when this statement was checked. It will be updated when accessibility testing or significant changes identify new findings. Automated checks are useful, but do not replace testing with assistive technology and people using the site.
